History of OSP

We will introduce the main events from our founding to the present.

2021 (Reiwa 3rd year) January: OSP Label Stock Co., Ltd. is established.
August: Innovation Center opens to the east of the Osaka Factory
2020 (2nd year of Reiwa) January OSP LABEL (THAILAND) CO.,LTD. and OSP (THAILAND)
CO., LTD. merged
Osaka Sealing Printing Co., Ltd. and OSP Fuji Packaging Co., Ltd. merged their businesses.
2019 (first year of Reiwa) May: New building completed at Fukuoka Factory. Tobata Factory relocated and integrated.
September: OSP Heartful Co., Ltd. is established.
2018 (Heisei 30th year) January: Selected as a "Regional Future Driving Company" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
March: Building J completed at Shiga Factory No. 2
August: Gifu Factory No. 3 Office completed
November: OSP CEBU CORPORATION established
2017 (2017) February: 90th anniversary celebration held (Taikoen)
2016 (Heisei 28) January: President Matsuguchi declares OSP's version of Industry 4.0 in his New Year's address.
February OSP Holdings Co., Ltd. acquires Royal Paper Homes
(Thailand) and MOU signed
March: OSP LABEL (THAILAND) CO., LTD. established.
May Osaka Kirinka Printing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. participated in the China Exhibition
First exhibit at Bakery China 2016
August: MOU signed with PackLeader (Taiwan)
2015 (Heisei 27) February: OSP Gold Sea Co., Ltd. is established.
March: Singapore representative office established
September: Tochigi Factory No. 3 completed
2014 (Heisei 26) January: "Clear Thermal" announced
July: Established "OSP (THAILAND) CO., LTD." in Bangkok, Thailand.
November: OSP Fuji Packaging Co., Ltd. is established.
2013 (2013) May: OSP Trading Co., Ltd. is established.
July: ASEAN Room established
November: Transition to holdings system
2012 (Heisei 24) March: Celebrates 85th anniversary of founding
2011 (Heisei 23) January: Established a plant for manufacturing base paper for labels in Shiga Factory No. 2 (currently Shiga Factory No. 2).

December "Trajectory of Passion: Message from Matsuguchi Yutaka" memorial volume published.
2010 (Heisei 22) June: "Safety and Health Risk Assessment Activities" started
October: Etching building opened in Nasu 2nd Factory
2009 (Heisei 21) March: Moji Factory G Building gravure machine operation begins
August: Nasu Second Factory (now Tochigi Factory Second Office) begins operation.
October: Technical Center (Osaka) opened
2008 (Heisei 20) May: Osaka Kirinka Printing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.'s Suzhou factory completed and began operations.
2007 (Heisei 19th year) February: The second factory building was completed in the Kokura Factory.
March: "Label Archives - Salon OSP" held as part of the 80th anniversary celebrations

May: Kochi Branch Office (now Kochi Sales Office) opened.
July: Osaka Kirinkaku Printing Co., Ltd. Shanghai Representative Office was abolished.
December: Moji Factory opens F-building, automatic gravure plate making factory.
Gravure automatic rack warehouse completed
2006 (Heisei 18) March: Etching building completed at Ogaki Factory No. 1 (currently Gifu Factory No. 1 Office)
April: PRIMARK AMERICA CORPORATION in New York City, USA
became a subsidiary
October: Osaka Kirinka Printing (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is established in Suzhou, China.
2005 (Heisei 17) February: Gifu Sales Office opened
March: Shiga Production Division obtains forest certification (COC certification)
June: OSP Ajihara Building opened (Osaka sales department and other offices relocated)
Head office relocated to 1-8 Obasecho cho, Tennoji-ku, Osaka
November: Privacy Mark certification obtained
2004 (Heisei 16) February: Kubotaji Technology Center closed
Osaka Technical Center opened (currently Equipment Department and Labeling System Department).
2003 (Heisei 15th year) February: Osaka Kirinkaku Printing Co., Ltd. Shanghai Representative Office established in Shanghai, China.
June: Osaka Factory completed and operations started (Hirano Factory and Kami Factory integrated).
July: Established local subsidiary "Osaka Kirinka Printing Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd." in Shanghai, China.

September: Okinawa sales office opened
The RPF building was completed at Shiga Factory No. 2 (currently Shiga Factory No. 2 Office).
2002 (Heisei 14) October: Completion of the finishing building at Shiga Factory No. 1 (currently Shiga Factory No. 1 Office)
November: Shiga 3rd Factory closed.
2001 (Heisei 13) January: Shikoku branch office opened (Takamatsu, Kochi sales offices and Tokushima branch office merged).
October: Ogaki Factory No. 1 (now Gifu Factory No. 1 Office) completed and began operations.
2000 (Heisei 12) October: Obtained ISO 14001 certification
1999 (Heisei 11) January: Kanazawa Sales Office opened
1998 (Heisei 10) March: Soft packaging production division obtains ISO 9002 certification.

September: Gunma Sales Office opened
1997 September: Ogaki Factory (now Gifu Factory No. 2) completed and began operations.
1996 (Heisei 8) April: Minami Osaka Sales Office opened
1995 (Heisei 7) March: Osaka Business Center (now Osaka Factory West Wing) opens.
1994 (Heisei 6) January: Niigata branch office (now Niigata sales office) opened.
September: Moji Factory completed and operations started
1993 (Heisei 5) April: Appointed Matsuguchi Tadashi and President
September Kanto Nasu Plant (currently Tochigi Plant No. 1) completed and begins operations.
1992 (Heisei 4) January: Tokyo branch is promoted to a branch office.
February: Nagano Branch Office (now Nagano Sales Office) opened
1991 (Heisei 3) March: Kokura Factory (now Fukuoka Factory) completed and began operation.
August: Kuboji Technology Center opens

February: OSP Building (now OSP Ajihara Honmachi Building) completed
1987 (Showa 62) May: Yonago Sales Office and Kobe Sales Office (now Kobe Branch) opened.
June: Hamamatsu Branch Office (now Hamamatsu Sales Office) opened
Fukushima Branch Office (now Fukushima Sales Office) opened.
1986 (Showa 61) May: Design and studio departments established
July: Nishitokyo Sales Office opened

1985 (Showa 60) February: Northern Japan Sales Office opened
1984 (Showa 59) October: Muraki Factory (Shiga 3rd Factory) opened.
1982 (Showa 57) July: Hirano Factory opens and begins operations
1980 (Showa 55) January: Chiba Sales Office (now Higashi-Kanto Branch) opened.
1979 (Showa 54) February: North Kanto Sales Office (now Saitama Sales Office) and Matsuyama Sales Office opened

1978 (Showa 53) January: Yokohama Sales Office (now Yokohama Branch) opened.

1972 (Showa 47) January: Shiga Factory No. 1 (now Shiga Factory No. 1 Office) completed and began operations.
October: Kyushu Branch (now Fukuoka Sales Office) opened.
1971 (Showa 46) October: Kyushu Factory (now Tobata Factory) opened.
1969 (Showa 44) March Started clean back printing (curved surface printing)

1967 (Showa 42) July: Various automatic sticker machines for use with our own sticker and label products

1960 (Showa 35) April: Senior Managing Director, Matsuguchi Yutaka, after a tour of the printing industry in Europe and the United States,
After visiting the printing industry in Europe and the U.S., began modernization of facilities by introducing various cutting-edge printing presses
1954 (Showa 29) In March OSAKA SEALING PRINTING CO., LTD. (capital: 800,000 yen).
Organizational change: Matsuguchi Ukichi appointed President
1946 (Showa 21) March: Reconstructed and resumed business at 7-10 Tanimachi, Minami-ku, Osaka City
1945 (Showa 20) March: Closed due to war damage.
1927 (Showa 2) February: Founder Matsuguchi Ukichi moves to 1-10 Izumi, Higashi-ku, Osaka.
